In the heart of the small Frisian village of Hantum, a stone’s throw from Dokkum and the Wadden coast, a place that breathes awaits. High, open, warm. Whether you come for a romantic weekend away or simply want to slow down: there is room for both. Snuggle up close to the wood stove on stormy evenings, and enjoy the wide view from the large wooden terrace on sunny days.
A place that feels like coming home Downstairs, the cosy living room with the wood stove is the centrepiece. In the evenings the crackling fire makes the atmosphere complete, exactly the kind of evening you savour most. The smart TV is there too, so that you can end a rainy evening with a good film.
Upstairs, on the mezzanine Up the stairs you go, and on the mezzanine a luxurious bedroom is already waiting for you. The electrically adjustable kingsize boxspring is made up for you upon arrival. On the ground floor, the spacious bathroom has everything you need: a shower, soft towels and bathrobes. The kitchenette is furthermore fully equipped and with the Nespresso you start your day with a lovely cup of coffee.
Own entrance, own pace Moanne has its own entrance, so you come and go entirely at your own rhythm. Thús yn Hantum consists of two adjoining lofts, which is also great if you want to holiday with friends or family. Your bicycle is stored safely in our garage, and parking on the street is free.
Outside, under the Frisian sky The large wooden terrace looks out over the wide meadows. No hustle, no rush. Just that endless Frisian sky above you. On beautiful days this is therefore the place where you can sit for hours without a thought in your head. And when the sun goes down? The hottub is waiting. Wood-fired, steaming warm, while the stars slowly appear. Bookable as an extra option with your stay (€50.00 per evening).
Spoiled, entirely your way Anyone who wishes can order a fresh breakfast at the door when booking, local and homemade, delivered at the time that suits you, for €17.50 per person per night. Or choose an Italian snack board with a bottle of wine for €17.50 per person, exactly what makes an evening complete. And if you want to ease into the morning slowly, a late check-out until 14:00 is furthermore available for €25.00.
With your dog Do you love travelling with your dog? Thús yn Hantum warmly welcomes four-legged friends too. The garden is fenced, so your dog also has the freedom to unwind. The surroundings are moreover perfect for a morning walk through the Frisian landscape. We charge a small surcharge per night.
